Mara has convened workshops for and worked with leading American voice scientist Jo Estill in Sydney, and has also given workshops for the Sydney Children’s Choir, Gondwana Voices, Australian Girls Choir (Canberra), Wollongong Children’s Choir, Petrunka Choir (Melbourne), Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir and Southern Gospel Choir (Hobart).
Mara has also been a vocal coach and tutor to dozens of community choirs throughout Australia, and has given vocal workshop seasons for a diverse range of organisations such as North Queensland Music Centre, Northwest Regional Arts (NSW), Gorgeous Voices and Ten Days on the Island (Choral Island project). Mara has also led vocal workshops at many festivals in Australia and overseas.
She has given tertiary level tutorials and workshop seasons at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Western Sydney, Sydney University Music Department, National Voice Centre, University of New South Wales, Adelaide University and several TAFE colleges.
